Todd Scribner on Migration and the Common Good
All are welcome for the second installment of the annual Dorothy Day Lecture Series at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 9, in the McAllister Board Room (fourth floor of Ferrell Academic Center). Dr. Todd Scribner, Assistant Director of Education and Outreach for the USCCB’s Migration and Refugee Services, will give a talk titled, “Migration and the Common Good: Catholic Social Thought in Theory and Practice.” Refreshments will be served.
The Dorothy Day Lecture Series aims to increase awareness of and commitment to Catholic social teaching within the Benedictine College community and beyond. It is co-sponsored by the Theology Department and the Center for Service-Learning and named in honor of Servant of God Dorothy Day, a 20th century American Benedictine oblate who worked tirelessly for peace and justice.
